Chartered Building Services Consulting Engineers

The firm was established by J. Noel Traynor in 1970. Noel Traynor followed a career in all aspects of building services engineering following an apprenticeship in a major Contractor’s office in Dublin in the 1930’s. He was employed as an in-house consultant for a large architect’s office in Dublin in the late 1930’s and moved to Northern Ireland during World War 2, designing services for American bases and hospitals, returning to Dublin after the war to build the new sanitoria with the Department of Health.

After a further spell in a consulting practice, he became managing director of a growing contracting office. The development of building services for the new Shannon Industrial Estate occupied much of the next 12 years. In 1974, with Greg Traynor, he co-founded the practice of J.N. & G. Traynor & Partners.
